Gift Administration

Any department receiving gifts of cash or check must submit the gifts to University Advancement on the date of receipt by the following method:

• Place the gift in a sealed envelope and include:
  • Your name and phone number
  • The name of the donor(s), along with any available contact information
  • Any related documentation that should be referenced when processing the gift
• Hand deliver the envelope to University Advancement at one of the following:
  • Administrative Annex Room 1038
  • Alderman Hall Room 108
  • After hours drop box located on the side of the Administrative Annex near the handicap parking.  If placing something in the drop box, please email giving@uncw.edu to alert them to retrieve it.

UNCW is required to deposit all cash and checks received on a daily basis, in accordance with North Carolina General Statute 147-77: Daily Deposit of Funds to Credit of Treasurer, as referenced in the UNCW Cash Management Plan and UNCW Policy 05.141: Departmental Funds Receipting. Your assistance in meeting this requirement is greatly appreciated.
