UNCW welcomes new and returning Seahawks truly like no other with UNCWelcome - a four-to-six-week series of events and opportunities that ensure you experience the best of our coastal community.

As a new student, you will explore your new home, build connections, and choose your own adventure as you start your journey in academia, involvement, and personal wellbeing.

Events and Involvement at UNCW

All UNCW students, faculty, and staff have access to WAVELINK: UNCW's Events Portal. For a daily and accurate list of opportunities each day, visit Wavelink and login with your UNCW email (without @uncw.edu) and password. For a mobile-friendly experience, download WaveLink's mobile app, CORQ, in the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play (Android). Don't forget to RSVP to events you want to attend so you can receive an email reminder!

Getting involved is a huge step in your UNCW experience. Whether it is through joining a Registered Student Organization, taking on a part-time job or internship, participating in community service, being a student-athlete, research assistant, resident assistant, and more - choose your place at UNCW. To begin your involvement journey, complete the Involvement Compass on WaveLink to receive personal recommendations from the Campus Activities & Involvement Center (CAIC).

Representation and Accessibility at UNCW

During UNCWelcome and beyond, we encourage the full participation of all UNCW community members. Event organizers make strong efforts to develop events and programs accessible for all. Should you have questions or concerns about accessibility, please contact the sponsoring department for that event with additional information. Well-being at UNCW

Be a Healthy Hawk through UNCW's well-being initiative focusing on a holistic approach to daily life with an emphasis on the eight dimensions of well-being. Whether through UNCWelcome or year-round, engage with all eight dimensions by attending events and utilizing resources available to you. Discover how you can be healthy at Healthy Hawks.

FALL Into the Dub

FALL Into the Dub takes place in the fall semester and serves as the launch to a new academic year! Fall UNCWelcome begins in mid-August with First-Year Student Move In and ends in late September with Family Weekend. Major programs and signature events that standout as part of the Fall UNCWelcome experience include:

Move In - Begins on Wednesday, August 12. Hosted by Housing and Residence Life.
Dub Up - Thursday, August 13 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Seahawk Quad. Hosted by Campus Life: Student Involvement and Leadership.
HawkFest - Saturday, August 15 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Fisher Student Center Parking Lot. Hosted by Campus Life: Student Involvement and Leadership.
Rock the Rec - Sunday, August 16 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Pat Leonard Student Recreation Center. Hosted by Campus Recreation.
Dub After Dark - Monday, August 17 from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Fisher Student Center and Fisher University Union. Hosted by the Association for Campus Entertainment.
Convocation and All-Campus Picnic - Tuesday, August 18 starting at 11:30 a.m. at Trask Coliseum. Hosted by Transition Programs.
Meet the Greeks - Thursday, August 20 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Campus Commons Amphitheater. Hosted by Campus Life: Fraternity and Sorority Life.
Back to School Bingo - Friday, August 21 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Warwick Center. Hosted by the Association for Campus Entertainment.
National Pan-Hellenic Council Yard Show - Friday, August 21 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Campus Commons Amphitheater. Hosted by Fraternity & Sorority Life.
ACE Outdoor Film - Saturday, August 22 at Brooks Field. Hosted by the Association for Campus Entertainment.
Involvement Carnival - Tuesday, August 25 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Campus Commons. Hosted by Campus Life: Student Involvement and Leadership.
On-Campus Part-Time Job Fair - Scheduled for Wednesday, August 26. Hosted by the Career Center.
