UNCW Passport Services is officially designated as a passport acceptance facility by the U.S. Department of State. UNCW students, faculty, staff and members of the community can apply for a U.S. passport directly through our office.

 

Apply for a Passport

Please note the following schedule changes and office closures:

Monthly Late Opening: 

  • On the first Wednesday of every month, our office opens at 9:15 a.m.
  • On Wednesday, May 27, 2026 our office opens at 9:15 a.m.

Scheduled Closures:

  • Wednesday, May 13, 2026 from 12:45pm - 3:15pm
  • Monday, May 25, 2026
  • Friday, July 3, 2026
  • Monday, September 7, 2026
  • Thursday, November 26 - Friday, November 27, 2026
  • Thursday, December 24 - Friday, January 1, 2027

Normal operations will resume on Monday, January 4, 2027.

Services We Offer

We offer an on-site passport photo service. We can take your official passport photo and ensure it meets all the official requirements. If you prefer, you can provide your own photo if it meets official requirements.

Our team will submit your passport application along with all necessary documentation to the U.S. Department of State, which makes the final decision to issue a passport to an individual. If approved, you will receive your passport in the mail. Convenient option for students preparing to study abroad!

Passport Walk-In Policy
Walk-in passport services are not guaranteed and are subject to availability. The Passport Office reserves the right to close the walk-in line at any time based on daily volume, staffing, or operational needs.
